The two-days one night – Orangutan tour is most popular for travelers who came to Bukit Lawang, you will earn memories camping on Mt. Leuser National Park. The magnificent rain forest of the park have become famous throughout the world as the harbor some of the most endangered and rate species on earth for example Sumatran rhinoceros, Sumatran orangutan and Rafflesia, the largest flower in the world.
Our campsite is in the jungle at Bohorok riverbank. The water is
very fresh and clean, where you can go directly into the river for a swim and
have fun after hike the mountain while enjoying the atmosphere of the beautiful
forest. At the campsite we’ll see monkeys, monitor lizards, or even an
orangutans if we are lucky.
We will also provide assistance to help you where we’ll pass the
difficult and slippery trails.
You can also enjoy Indonesian food delicious cooked by our professional
team as long as we were in the jungle.
ITINERARY :
Day 1.
The jungle trek will start after you have breakfast around 9:00 am, you
will meet expert guide at your hotel/guest house where you stay, and you will
joint with another group not more then six people unless your own group is larger
than this size.
Once we arrive at the border of Mt.National park, our experience guide
will give you a briefing how to behave in the jungle. Walking for about 5-6
hours to search of the animals together, if we’re lucky we’ll see animals such
as Sumatran orangutan (pongo abelli ), Thomas leaf-monkey, silver leaf-monkey,
Siamang (black gibbon), white-handed gibbon, pig-tailed macaque, water
monitors, Sumatran peacock, red giant flying squirrel, Malayan giant squirrel
or hornbill. Our expert guide will explain you about orangutans behavior and
other of animals, he will point you also about the medicine plants that are
still often used for people living in the village.
At 13:00 we stop for a break. For lunch we provide our fried rice
wrappers from home. After lunch we also provide tropical fresh fruits. We have
pineapple, bananas, oranges, passion fruit and watermelon.
After lunch, we continue the tour to watching the orangutans and other
animals while heading to the campsite. Upon arrival at the campsite you can go
to the river for a swim or relax while enjoying tea or coffee, guide and team
will prepare for dinner. After dinner you can playing jungle game or make campfire
with the team. If the weather is good we can go fishing in the river. We spent
the night in the jungle, an amazing experience.
Day 2.
After breakfast we will continue the trek to explore
the jungle around 3-4 hours return to the Hotel/guest
house, we will observe the jungle and search of the animals ( we will
take a rest to have fruits break and lunch ). If we are lucky will see
again of the orangutans or other animals before end of the trips.

Or if you prefer we can stay at the riverside to observe the wildlife. There’s
also a nice waterfall we can visit, afterwards we come back to the tent to have
noodle soup and fruit salad jungle style for lunch. After lunch we
will raft back to the hotel by traditional tube rafting ” Jungle taxi..!”, you
will have fun time with Bohorok river waves and enjoy the jungle atmosphere
from the river, if you are lucky we could see the animals such us monitor
lizard, monkeys and Sumatra orangutans ( pongo abelli ) at the river bank.
